At the end of last year, Ecotap installed two ultra-modern loading systems at the quay of Papierfabriek Nijmegen in the Oostkanaalhaven in Nijmegen on behalf of the municipality of Nijmegen and CLINSH.
With the commissioning of these two shore power cabinets, four barges can be supplied with on-board power at the same time. An electric car can also be charged at the same time. What makes these quayside electricity cabinets even more special is that they illuminate the footbridges and are also secured by means of a so-called 360 degree camera. The air quality is also continuously monitored. Improving the air quality is one of the most important priorities of the CLINSH project, subsidised by the European LIFE programme.
