On 10 September 2019, the Port of London Authority convened the Thames’ first Greening Inland Shipping Conference & Exhibition. The event was held to give Thames vessel operators and interested stakeholders an opportunity to find out more about lower and zero emission vessel technology. The conference was centred on three themes: the evolving political and environmental context for river operations, the development & research into new technology and opperators’ experience adopting and using new technology.

CLINSH’s programma manager Annet van Lier spoke about the CLINSH project and participated in a panel discussion on international R&D. Dr Alan Murphy, of CLINSH partner Newcastle University spoke about lessons learnt and took part in the panel review discussion.
