The Province of Zuid-Holland has made the finals of the Computable Awards 2018 with its Smart Shipping in Zuid-Holland project

This was announced by ICT magazine Computable.

With the aid of sensors on the banks, bridges and locks, the arrival time of inland shipping vessels can be indicated real-time with great accuracy. The traffic on roads and waterways are optimally attuned to each other by the smart use of ICT and data sets, as a result of which the waiting times at bridges are kept to a minimum.  For the jury of the Computable Awards 2018 reason to nominate the project 'Smart shipping in South Holland' in the category ‘Government ICT-project of the year’.
